Sharing your profile across the Talent People platform
Your profile is stored on a shared recruitment platform operated by Talent People. If you register on another service that uses the same platform (for example, another apprenticeship or early-careers site operated by Talent People on behalf of a different organisation), your profile information will be accessible to that service's administrators.
This means that the personal data you provide here — including your name, contact details, and any information you add to your profile — may be visible to recruiters at other partner organisations if you choose to use one of their services. You are in control of which services you register for.
How long we keep your data
We retain your profile for up to two years from your last activity on the platform, after which it is anonymised automatically. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting our DPO (see below).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data (subject to legal obligations)
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent (marketing emails, analytics cookies, equality monitoring data), you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal
To exercise any of these rights, contact our data protection team at data@getmyfirstjob.co.uk.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):

We would, however, appreciate the opportunity to address your concern directly before you contact the ICO. Please contact our DPO in the first instance.
